Two Cooks, Two Cookies, Too Yummy!

Fudge and Marshmallow-Topped Cocoa Cookies
In honor of National Cookie Day, Michelle and I tried two recipes we've never made!
These cookies both start from sugar-cookie mixes and look YUMMY!
They were.

These deliciously yummy chocolaty cookies are from the Betty Crocker site.

And I'm pretty sure you can tell how I feel about them!!

They are the perfect mix of chocolate and marshmallow-with a bit of sprinkles;)

The cookie itself is from a sugar cookie mix!

Crazy easy!

You mix all ingredients and pop into 375 degree oven for 9 minutes and then plop on 1 marshmallow pop back in the oven for just a minute or two.
Then you press down the marshmallow and top with the chocolate frosting.
But let's talk a bit about the frosting part of these cookies-
It is soooo good and sets up nicely for that perfect sloooow drip:)
But you do have to be kinda quick because it sets fast!
So yummy I had to stick the rest of 'em in the freezer for less temptation!!

Give this one a try!

Perfect for taking to your cookie exchange or sending to your kids school Christmas party!
Enjoy!!

Chocolate Snowballs

Here is another great and very easy cookie recipe!! This would be a good one to do with the kids...

yep, you use the sugar cookie mix to start.... :)

In large bowl combine sugar cookie mix, butter, egg, flour, baking cocoa, almond extract and slivered almonds (these are optional!). Mix until soft dough forms.

You can either roll you dough into 3/4-inch balls or just take a spoonful and wrap around a Hershey kiss. Mix it up... around the holidays they come out with some cool new flavors of kisses!! I went with the original milk chocolate and the new Mint Truffle kisses! Place balls onto cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Remove to a cooling rack as soon as you take them out of the oven.... let cool for 5 minutes.

Roll cookies in powdered sugar. Let cool completely for about 15 minutes and roll in powdered sugar again. Double sweetness! :) Enjoy!
