S'Mores Brownies

Another easy and simple delicious brownie to add to your

stack of "must makes"!!

This one is better the next day too!

Layers and layers of goodness....

Start by layering a foil-lined pan with graham crackers...

they will overlap a little.

Melt butter and chocolate in microwave....

add sugar, eggs, vanilla and flour.

Pour over layer of graham crackers.

Bake for about 30 minutes... do not overbake,

you want your brownie to be soft and chewy!

Sprinkle with marshmallows and chocolate chunks...

bake for another 3-5 minutes;

until marshmallows are puffed up.

Remove from oven and place broken graham crackers

onto the melted marshmallow and chocolate mixture.

Press in slightly!

Cool completely.

Use foil edges to remove from pan....

carefully pull foil away from brownies.

Ready to cut up.....

and devour!

Another great way to enjoy S'Mores!!

Butterfinger Caramel Brownies

Gooey Goodness..... that is the best way to describe these
brownies!! The brownie is gooey to start and then the added caramel

just takes the brownies to a whole new level!

Just a few ingredients too!
Got to love that! :)

Mix the brownies according the package directions.

In a food processor, add about 2 to 2 1/2 candy bars.

Pulse until crushed!

Add the candy bars to the brownie mixture.

Pour into a greased 9x13-inch pan.

Drizzle with the caramel topping.....

Using a butter knife, slice thru the caramel going the opposite

direction to get the love spread into every bite!

(Thanks Mom for this idea! :))

Bake the brownies according to the box.

Let cool.

Place remaining candy bars in a zip lock bag....

and crush!!

(I didn't use the food processor for these ones as I

wanted bigger chunks!)

Mix powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla and milk

for the icing.

It should be drizzling consistency!

Drizzle icing over brownies....

Spread evenly!

Sprinkle with your chunks of butterfingers!

You may have to press the butterfinger chunks down a little

to make sure they don't stick!

Cool again!

Cut and Enjoy!

Mmmm... just need a big glass a milk with this plate!

Merry Mondays ~ Starbucks™ Peppermint Brownies

One word..... numalicious!!

This copy-cat recipe for the famous Starbucks Peppermint Brownies we found many years ago and of course have tweaked to our liking!

Nothing like some minty chocolate for the holidays. :)

Start with a basic brownie mix. Add butter, water eggs and peppermint extract.

Mix by hand just until all the dry ingredients are incorporated.

Pour into greased 9x13-inch pan.

Mmmm... looks good already!
Cool completely.

Next start the peppermint buttercream frosting by beating together powdered sugar and butter.

Add more powdered sugar :), milk, vanilla and peppermint extracts.

Mix until smooth and creamy.

Almost ready....

To get the real minty feel to your brownies you can add green food coloring.

Spread frosting over cooled brownies.

Make sure it is even... you don't want to cheat anyone out of any filling!!

Make chocolate frosting by bringing milk and butter almost to a boil over medium heat. Pour mixture over chocolate chips and let sit for 5 minutes. Add vanilla and whisk until smooth. Use an electric mixer and beat in powdered sugar until frosting is smooth.

Spread chocolate frosting over peppermint buttercream.

No sampling quite yet!! Place brownies in fridge for about 1 hour to firm up frosting.

Enjoy!

Brownie Caramel Pecan Bars

These bars are one of my husband's favorites therefore we decided they would be an excellent treat for him to bring to work!! Relatively easy to make and definitely easy to eat... especially the nummy, nummy topping! (note: we one and a halved the recipe and made it in a 9x13-inch pan.)

They could almost be called "Turtle Brownies" with all the caramel, pecans and chocolate!

Start making the brownies by combining sugar, butter and water in a medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils.

Remove from the heat and immediately add 1 cup chocolate chips.

Stir until chocolate chips are completely melted!

Beat in eggs and vanilla until well blended.

In separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt.

Add the flour mixture into chocolate.

Mix until combined!

Flour and grease your pan...

Spread batter into pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until brownies pull away from sides of pan.

Meanwhile, prepare the Caramel Topping. Start by removing the wrappers off 25 caramels. Add 2 tablespoons butter or margarine and 1/2 tablespoon milk. Microwave until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.

Remove the brownies from the oven when cooked and immediately spread with prepared caramel topping. (Tip: Save a little caramel for later!)

Sprinkle remaining 1 cup chocolate chips over caramel....

Sprinkle pecans over caramel along with the chocolate chips.

I like to reserve some of the caramel topping and drizzle it over all the nummy toppings to hold it together!!

Mmmmm.... Enjoy!!!!
