Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Who doesn't love a good fried cheesestick dipped in Marinara Sauce?!?!?!

Here is a little different take on how to make them at home

adapted from the Food Network Magazine.

Using a mozzarella cheese stick and an egg roll or spring roll wrapper

makes these cheese sticks simple to whip up!

Start by brushing one egg roll wrapper with an egg and milk wash.

Place cheese stick on wrapper in corner closest to you and start rolling....

Tuck in the ends and keep rolling!

Dip wrapper in the egg wash....

and then your bread crumb mixture.

(we double dipped ours for a little more crunch!)

Start stacking them up and move on to the next one!

Heat oil to 325° and fry cheese sticks.

Watch carefully so all the cheese doesn't ooze out!

Serve with Marinara/Pizza Sauce.

Grab one while they are hot... they will be gone soon!! :)

Cheese Fondue

Do you have a special occasion coming up? Or just want to

do something different for dinner? Fondue

is a great way to go! I also hear that it is fun for the kidd-o's

as well. There is just something about fondue.... and it is so nummy too!

The ingredients are:

garlic clove

white wine

gouda cheese

mozzarella cheese(or you can just use gouda!)

cornstarch

black pepper

nutmeg

Baguette or any kind of bread is always delish with gouda! We just

used a french bread...

apples and broccoli!

Salami would have went great with this as well!

All set and ready to go!

This stuff is seriously yummy!!
I'm a huge fan of Cilantro-Lime, this is one of my favorite savory flavor combos-Yum!
I love how bright and fresh tasting this guacamole is with the addition of the lime:)
I served it with sweet potato fries but I think it would be awesome with chicken nachos too.

First things first-the ingredient rundown:

avocado
lime zest and juice
cilantro
kosher course salt
garlic salt
fresh ground black pepper
cube avocado

zest some lime

squeeze 1/2 a lime

throw in some cilantro

mash and mix;)

Mini Soft Pretzels ~ Salty or Sweet

Let me start out by saying..... YUMMY!!!

These are about as close as you can get to buying them from the little pretzel shops!

Very soft and delicious!

Go ahead and eat them all the first day...they don't taste near as good the day after!

Believe me, you will be looking for a reason to not stop! :)

The recipe was adapted from The Food Network Magazine and it was their replica for

Auntie Anne's soft pretzels which are served with a mustard sauce.

We decided to make them mini as they would be a great party food!

You can't go wrong by dipping them in a little sweetness either, right??

My husband wanted to try the Cinnamon and Sugar... a little trip back to his

childhood when his Mom used to make them for him!

Warm milk to 110° (the candy thermometer comes in so handy!!)

Pour warm milk into medium bowl and add yeast.

Let the yeast soften, about 2 minutes.

Stir in brown sugar and 1 cup of flour.

Add the softened butter.

Add more flour and salt to make a sticky dough.

Turn dough onto a floured surface.

Knead... the dough will be sticky! Add more flour as needed

until the dough is smooth but still slightly tacky.

Shape into ball, place in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap.

Let rise in a warm spot until doubled, about 1 hour.

Punch dough down and turn onto a lightly floured surface.

Divide dough into 12 pieces.

Roll and stretch each piece with the palms of your hands into a 15-inch rope.

Slap the middle of the rope on the counter as you stretch!

You are ready to shape your pretzel! Hold up both ends and wrap around twice.

Fold the pretzel over, overlapping the ends on the bottom of the pretzel.

So cute!!

Dissolve soda into warm water.

Dip each pretzel into the soda mixture....

Place pretzel onto prepared pan. If you are making the "salty" pretzels, sprinkle

with a coarse salt. Bake for about 5 minutes at 450°.

Immediately dip the pretzels into butter.....

Place the pretzel on a cooling rack!

Look at them glisten! Mmmm.....

Ready to Enjoy! :)

To make the Cinnamon and Sugar pretzel...while still warm, dip the

pretzel into your melted butter.

Dip into cinnamon/sugar mixture.... make sure to get it

good and coated...you don't want to feel cheated!

So delicious!!!
