I had supper going in the crock-pot before noon today, man I am on the ball today! lol That hardly ever happens:) So onto the food- another recipe I haven't tried yet and it's not done yet so I'll post a picture of it later tonight.
Ingredients:
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/4 c. chicken broth
1/4 c. country style Dijon mustard
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 t. dried thyme
1/4 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
6 medium red potatoes, sliced
1 medium onion halved
and thinly sliced
6 boneless loin chops
All my ingredients:)
In the crock-pot, combine the first 7 ingredients.
Slice the potatoes and onion then stir them into the cream sauce.
Then top with pork chops.
Cover and cook on low for 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 hours or until pork and potatoes are tender.
6 servings.
I'll update this post later tonight with a final picture and let you know how it tastes:)
So here is the final result: It was pretty good, very tender and had very good flavor.
I would make it again and next time I would add the onions- I totally missed that step;)
Oh well my kids were glad I forgot!
I thought for a minute that you were seriously making LION chops for supper and was wondering where you buy that kind of meat and then realized you meant LOIN chops! I am such a ditz sometimes:D
ReplyDeleteSounds good, mmm.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Sorry about the lion thing Karen I spell-checked but lion IS a word so it didn't pick that up- wouldn't it be nice if there was a does it make sense button?!?! lol I think I was the ditz there;)
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds so yummy! I'm always looking for crock pot recipes :) And ya, it makes you feel so on top of things to have dinner "done" by noon! love that feeling :)
